A voiceover talent is more than just a pretty voice, so to speak.  Yes, they bring the words to life.  Yes, voiceover artists make the listener feel connected to the message.  Yes, they adjust to a creatives direction on the spot, without hesitation, and, yes, these voiceover talents can read for hours in clear tone just as directed.  What is not usually considered is the time a good voiceover talent saves the editor, therefore keeping budgets under control.  With a professional voiceover talent on the job, the editor is able to find clear reads without having to weed through stumbles, stammers and apologies.  The professional voiceover talent gives multiple takes with varying nuances for the creative director to choose from.  With very little editing of the recorded voiceover, the editor can easily play each take for the creative director, one after the other, so the perfect flow of the project can be assembled.  The creative director guides the editor in how these pieces are put together.  The product turns out to be just what the client had in their head and is now a reality.
