There are times when it is not possible to bring the music in to the recording studio. So we have to bring the recording studio to the music. Along with Michael’s expertise, formal music training and experience in designing and building three sound studios (each one bigger than the first), he brings our remote recording capabilities to the music. Here is a picture of one solution we have provided for capturing music in a remote location. With pre-production planning and an understanding how the sound lives in this space, Michael designed an optimum way to capture the sound of this amazing pipe organ. Organist David Brock and his exquisite instrument, violinist Elizabeth Pitcairn and her “Red Violin”, bassoonist Ben Benson and stellar sound design have come together to capture the magnificence of this on-site performance.
