What is the most favorite gift you have ever given someone? Chances are it was something that was extremely meaningful to both you and the recipient. It probably touched on a common interest, love or passion. Here at Tanglewood we have been honored to help those “outside the box” thinkers give the gift of an experience. Through a thoughtful friend or relative, closet singer-songwriters have been given the gift of a studio recording session. It was an experience for them to walk into the recording studio and have the experience of laying down tracks from their own, personal creation. Young singers have been given the gift of recording their vocals and we have even had storytellers (actually grandparents) come in and read their stories, adding sound effects and music to their tale and packaging it as a family heirloom. It is the personal touch and physical experience that make these gifts so heart-touching.
