The brilliant photographer, Jeff Ross, for the month of July, had a showing of spectacular photography on display at the Reno City Hall Metro Gallery capturing artists behind the scenes. We were privileged to have Jeff photograph one of our A.W.Tonegold Artists in the studio, just before beginning a session. Akio Sasajima is a world renowned jazz guitarist. He tours Japan often and has quite a following worldwide. Jeff was able to capture that special moment – Akio warming up and going through his personal ritual that puts him in the zone; the place where the music becomes magic.
Our oldest son was home from college when we visited the Jeff Ross “Behind the Scenes” display. What a wonderful family event to experience together. The display featured a wide range of moments captured with artists. It spoke to each viewer on several experiential and emotional levels. The room surrounded you with artists striving for excellence. You could see the hours and sacrifices these photographed artists have invested in their art form. It was an inspiring presentation. We are so proud of our friend Jeff and honored to have been a part of this insightful art display. Congratulations, Jeff!!
