It’s our privilege to help our clients make their creative ideas come to life. Recently we had a wonderful couple come in to the studio wanting to put together a CD of songs for someone in their family struggling with a health issue. They enjoy singing karaoke; they often seek out karaoke events to participate in. Their family loves that this couple, together, fill their lives with song. (If you ever saw them sing, the joy they fill the room with is infectious.) So, they decided this was a perfect way they could help the family.
We made sure to take time to allow them to get comfortable in the studio. They were both willing to give themselves to the experience and, with a big breath, pushed through the nerves only a singer understands. They focused on the reason they were there, to capture their voices and send healing vibrations to their family. What an experience in the gift of love. There was one moment when Diana couldn’t get the words to sit just right. Mike said, “It’s not there (referring to the lyric sheet she was holding), it’s here.” (pointing to the heart). She nodded and started walking toward the music room. Her husband stood up to get the door for her and I heard him say, “It’s there in your heart, baby.” It was an awe-inspiring moment. She glowed as she put the finishing touches on that song. With their custom designed CD in hand, they departed with pride and excitement to present their offering of love to their family.
